Dinner and Divinity - February 19th - The Hidden Words
For this week's D&D (after dinner of course), we gathered together to reflect and do some freewriting based on "The Hidden Words." As an English teacher in training, I wanted to give everyone an opportunity to write whatever came to their mind and to use this for a jumping off point for some inspiring discussion. Everyone choose one Hidden Word and shared it with the group, which was followed by freewriting. Jen, an amazing slam poet, launched into a new poem with every freewrite. It was incredible! Coffee / expresso ice-cream closed out the night!

Dinner and Divinity - Update
Hello all!
Last month we had a FANTASTICO Nicaraguan themed "D&D." I'll be posting up photos from the night (and the D&D before that) hopefully soon.
In the mean time, our next "Dinner and Divinty" will be Febuary 19th at 7:30pm as usual.
We hope you can come. I'm still thinking over topics... any ideas?

Dinner and Divinity - January 29th - "A Nicaraguan D&D"
What a fantastic evening. Me and Tanja cooked authentic Nicaraguan food (gallo pinto, potatoes and chicken, fried plantains) and we watched a 10 minute video compilation of Team Nicaragua 2010 (www.teamnica2010.blogspot.com). We concluded the evening with some guided meditation and prayers for those suffering in Haiti. It was a night that was serious and silly and wonderfully fulfilling!
